Insurance
I do not accept insurance, but I do work as an out-of-network provider and some insurance plans will provide out-of-network coverage.
Should you wish to use an insurance policy for therapy, it is your responsibility to contact your insurance company to inquire about specific coverage for out-of-network benefits for mental health services. I cannot guarantee that your insurance company will reimburse you.
Please note that most insurance companies require the treating provider to give a psychiatric diagnosis in order to reimburse for mental health counseling. I can provide a superbill for you to mail to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Any diagnosis made will become part of your permanent insurance records.

Good Faith Estimate (posted per federal law)
You may obtain a good faith estimate of my charges upon request prior to scheduling with me. The No Surprises Act is a federal law which provides you with the right to a good faith estimate of the cost of services at my practice. However, the Kansas state licensing board requires me to provide you with the actual cost of my services in a written informed consent to which you must agree prior to receiving services. You will sign both an informed consent as well as a financial agreement, both of which clearly state my fee, prior to you being seen for services and prior to any billing. In most cases it is impossible to estimate how many sessions you will need, and that will not be determined until your presenting concerns have been evaluated and might change based on the progress that you make. Furthermore, it is not possible to guarantee any specific results regarding your counseling goals, or exact length of treatment, because the outcome is dependent on your work as well as mine. You will be free to discontinue services at any time or the services may otherwise be terminated in accordance with the informed consent form language.
The No Surprises Law says that you may initiate a dispute process if the actual charges are substantially in excess of the Good Faith Estimated charges (if you are charged $400 more than the estimated cost for a session or for the total estimate provided). This will not happen in my practice since you will be agreeing up front to my fee before beginning treatment. Dispute information is available upon request, however. Any changes to my fees will require a change in the informed consent form fees, which you must agree to prior to having them go into effect, otherwise the fees will remain the same for 12 months.
